Margaret and John Savage First Book Award
Eligibility Criteria
1. First books published in 2009.
2. Authors must be living in Atlantic Canada at time of nomination.
3. Books in any genre: Fiction, history, essay, poetry, biography, politics, drama, etc.
4. Books must contain a minimum of 40% text.
5. No anthologies.
6. Books must be 49 pages or more and available for sale.
7. The Steering Committee reserves the right to accept or reject submitted titles. Regected titles will not be returned.
8. A $10 non-refundable submission fee for each title must accompany entries. Cheques should be made payable to the Halifax Regional Municipality.
