Atlantic Independent Booksellers Readers’ Choice Award, now in its third year and with a new name. The Atlantic Independent Booksellers have joined us to sponsor this award, which now comes with a cash prize of $1,000. The Readers’ Choice Award is open to any Atlantic Canadian book published in 2025 (that is, any book written or published by an Atlantic Canadian) of any and all genres and languages.

The Atlantic Independent Booksellers Readers’ Choice Award will be decided by the public in two rounds. It is open to any Atlantic Canadian Book published in 2025 of any and all genres.
Nominee Collection: From NOW until May 4th we’re collecting all nominees. There is NO submission fee and no max to how many submissions. We want to celebrate ALL the books published in our region each year. So send us those titles!
Voting Round 1: Voting is open from Tuesday May 5th to Friday May 22nd. 1 vote per email.
The longlist (top 10) will be announced on Monday May 25th, and move on to Voting Round 2!
Voting Round 2: Voting is open from Monday May 25th to Sunday May 31st. 1 vote per email!
Sunday May 31st – Readers Choice Voting CLOSED at midnight.
Monday June 1st – The shortlist (top 5) is announced on our social media
Thursday, June 4th – Atlantic Independent Booksellers Readers’ Choice Award will be presented at the Atlantic Book Awards Gala on June 4th, 7PM at Paul O’Regan Hall.
