The Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award, valued at $30,000, will be presented at the Atlantic Book Awards gala on June 4, and we want to read the entire shortlist and chat with each author before the winner is announced. 

Join us! 2026 Read the Raddall: conversation series and read all five shortlisted novels before June 4th. Can you do it? 

In a partnership between the AfterWords Literary Festival and the Atlantic Book Awards, authors Stephanie Domet (co-executive and co-artistic director of AfterWords) and K.R. Byggdin (Raddall winner for Wonder World) will be reading a nominated book along with us and leading the conversation series. 

Perks include bookish prizes, special discounts, and virtual/in-person meet-ups to discuss the books.

Stephanie Domet

Stephanie Domet is the author of two novels, and is at work on a third. She lives in Halifax where she is a freelance writer and editor who teaches creative writing in her dining room to little kids, sews her own clothes, and absolutely wants to make you supper when you’re in town.

K.R. Byggdin

K.R. Byggdin is the author of Wonder World (Enfield & Wizenty 2022), a ReLit Award finalist and winner of the Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award. They hold an MFA from the University of Guelph and their writing has appeared in anthologies and journals across Canada, the UK, and New Zealand. Born and raised on the Prairies, they now call the East Coast home.
