We’re getting ready for the 2026 edition of the Atlantic Book Awards Festival!
First up is our Shortlist Announcement. This is when we gather to find out which books are in the running for our 2026 awards.
Join us as we salute the authors whose books are nominated for the Alistair MacLeod Short Fiction Award, the Ann Connor Brimer Award for Atlantic Canadian Children’s Literature, the APMA Best Atlantic Published Book Award, the J.M. Abraham Atlantic Poetry Award, and the Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Award. (That’s the big one — worth a stunning $30,000!)
As well, we’ll announce the shortlisters for the Nova Scotia Book Awards – authors whose books are up for the Margaret and John Savage First Book Awards (Fiction and Nonfiction), Evelyn Richardson Nonfiction Award, the Dartmouth Book Award for Fiction and the George Borden Writing for Change Award.
