Supporters

Core funding for the 2023 Atlantic Book Awards and Festival comes from the Canada Book Fund of the Department of Canadian Heritage. The nonprofit Atlantic Book Awards Society is grateful to our sponsors and supporters and wishes to extend particular thanks to Atlantic Books Today, Halifax Public Libraries, and the Writer’s Federation of Nova Scotia, as well as the Cabot Trail Writers Festival, the Delmore “Buddy” Daye Learning Institute, the Lunenburg School of the Arts, the Nexus Centre for Humanities and Social Sciences Research at Memorial University, and Queen’s County Museum. Thank you to the six sets of jurors who worked hard to select this year’s shortlists and winners; our official booksellers Bookmark Halifax, Woozles, and King’s Coop Bookstore.

Every year, a committed group of volunteers stages this series of events to celebrate and draw attention to Atlantic Canadian writers, illustrators, and book publishers. We are a non-profit organization and registered charity, the Atlantic Book Awards Society. To continue to do this important work, we need the assistance of charitable donors and of business and corporate sponsors who share our passion for writing and reading. Literacy is of vital importance for all Atlantic Canadians. By supporting the Atlantic Book Awards and Festival, you will be helping to foster a strong, vibrant literary community in Atlantic Canada, encouraging the authors of tomorrow by celebrating the authors of today.

Sponsorship

While we are currently partnering with Atlantic booksellers and publishers and have strong support from the book publishing community and library network, we need additional corporate support so that we can continue to offer free events in schools, bookstores, and libraries throughout the region.

Please help make the Atlantic Book Awards and Festival a memorable and successful event. With your support, we can continue to grow this vital celebration of Atlantic books and bookmakers.
